The final issue covered in episode 001 was Gold Key #36. Since this was the pilot, we tried doing the synopsis and commentary at the same time. The result is a little confusing, but no less entertaining. Issue was reprinted by Whitman comics.

Which came first: This issue was released 1976 and 2001: A Space Odyssey was released 1968.  When listening, you will see that we did not know this when recording. 🙂
